Fr. Jhim, what two religions in the world that you think are similar to one another and why?
Answer: Hmmm well, I would say INC and Islam.
The Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) is not considered a Christian denomination because its members believe Jesus Christ is merely a man. The INC uses the Bible to manipulate and deceive people through self-interpretation and scare tactics, including humiliating members in front of their congregation for not providing automatic monetary support to their pastors and church. If a member leaves the religion, the INC uses propaganda to make them feel isolated, ostracized and abandoned, encouraging other members to sever connections, including family and friends. This tactic aims to deter others from leaving the religion. Similarly, Islam is not considered a Christian religion, sharing a similar ideology with the INC. Islam presents three options: convert and accept all ideologies, refuse to convert and pay taxes while still facing the risk of execution and enslavement, or refuse to convert and pay taxes, resulting in execution for the individual and their family. Both religions reject Jesus Christ's divinity and believe him to be a mere man, perverting scriptures in the process. Islam claims to be the faith of God as revealed to the self-proclaimed prophet Muhammad, who was uneducated and unable to write. In contrast, the INC claims to be the Church established by Jesus Christ in Jerusalem, reestablished in the Philippines by Felix Manalo, a self-proclaimed angel. Both religions lack connections to Jesus Christ, His Apostles, Disciples and the Abrahamic faith, emerging 600 years and much later. They manipulate scriptures, altering historical facts. Muhammad, considered an outcast, traveled and heard Christian scriptures, later claiming the Archangel Gabriel appeared to him. His accounts, written by his companions, form the Quran, which copies and manipulates Christian scriptures, denying Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection. Both Muhammad and Felix Manalo are considered false prophets, worshiping a false God. Muhammad a self-proclaimed prophet who claimed to have ascended into heaven instead of Jesus Christ and Felix Manalo a self-proclaimed last prophet of God who claimed he was an angel and Jesus Christ is just a man.
