Our earthly journey is short, our earthly body corrupts, our youth ages and becomes frail leading to its demise. But remember our souls doesn’t die! The soul doesn’t sleep but how that person lived out their earthly life determines how their soul will spend eternity. How you lived your earthly life is your destiny, your own free will to serve God lovingly, to know good from evil, to be a servant of God enduring all for the sake of your own salvation or to forsake God and go after all the temporary worldly things and living in sin. The final destination of your soul is determined how you remained faithful to God, how you put your faith into action. Faith without good works is dead, and so is good works without faith for it comes hand in hand. How would you know what is good if you do not know God who is perfectly good? How can you say you know God if you do not love and do goodwill towards others for to know God is to reflect or mirror the love and goodness of God. When our body dies, our soul either goes to heaven joyfully and eternally enjoying life in the presence of God the Almighty or suffer eternal torments separated from God and His Saints.
